Digital Media/3D Animation
Today, the gap between creative and technical jobs is closing. Helping to bridge this gap are graphic designers and desktop publishers who work with many mediums including websites, media and other information technologies. Level I: This course prepares students for a variety of careers in the field of digital media. Within an environment geared towards creativity and teamwork, students will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills in areas such as: 2D and 3D graphics, text, 2D and 3D animation, audio and video. Students will also learn project development, script writing, storyboarding, design skills, project evaluation, and critiquing skills. At the completion of the course students will leave with a professional digital portfolio that may include; illustrations, posters, CD covers, advertisements, training software, video games, animations, radio spots, and original music score.
Level II: Students who return for a second year will continue to develop their professional portfolio and proceed to a higher level of skills. A wide variety of computer languages will be studied to provide the student with advanced skills and abilities.
